Tomb Raider: The Last Revalation

The phenomenon, Lara Croft, star of Tomb Raider, is once again back in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. The fourth in a series of successive hit games, with TR1, which created a genre in itself. TR has probably been one of the most successful game titles ever, with improving gameplay, graphics and storyline in each new title.

The Last Revelation sends archeologist Lara to the Land of the Pharaohs for an adventure that could cost her more than she bargains for. The plot revolves around ancient mythology and the alignment of the stars at the millennium. The title returns Lara to the cloak-and-dagger intrigue of Northern Africa developed in the original Tomb Raider game.

The improved advanced graphic engine allows seamless gamelay, the new programming allows levels to dissolve into cinematic scenes and full motion video. Like in many new games, loading screens have been taken out, making the adventure a continuous experience.

Clear objectives and smaller locations will result in less time spent traveling between areas. Individual environments are more reminiscent of the original game -- tightly-focused and puzzle-orientated, but with higher levels of detail and a greater number of objects than seen before. Greater emphasis has been given to creating a much more realistic atmosphere, more ancient locations and tombs and something not seen in the past TR games a lighting system that features spotlighting. The system and new environment mapping, will allow a variety of objects and surfaces to reflect and react to light sources.

Many guys will like this new feature, Lara will have a new remodeled look, fully skinned and much more detailed. A range of new moves, both simple and complex, will allow a whole new sort of puzzles and mechanisms for which our dear Lara has to negotiate past.

Another TR, another great game for sure, the new moves, better graphics and back to the original setting, will make this a sure win, both TR fans and newbies will love Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation.
